We are honored to announce that Eisenberg, Rothweiler, Winkler, Eisenberg & Jeck, P.C. was selected to receive the Justice William J. Brennan, Jr. Award from Philadelphia Volunteers for the Indigent Program (VIP). Each year, Philadelphia VIP hosts its Award Ceremony to recognize attorneys and law firms who provide the most exemplary pro bono legal services to the community. Our law firm accepted the award in front of 150 other Philadelphia attorneys at City Hall on April 19.
Philadelphia VIP is an organization dedicated to providing legal services for low-income residents and families who are experiencing legal problems that threaten their basic needs, such as shelter or access to education. Founded in 1981, Philadelphia VIP works to prevent homelessness, preserve income, stabilize families and promote community economic development. Volunteers with the organization, like the lawyers in our law firm, help provide legal services to members of our community who could not otherwise afford an attorney.
The attorneys at our law firm have assisted with 50 VIP cases, including five last year. As part of our volunteer service, our attorneys worked on guardianship, landlord-tenant, estate-planning, personal injury and property damagecases. We also participated in LawWorks cases, which provide legal assistance for Philadelphia small businesses and nonprofit organizations. All of our attorneys have taken at least one VIP case over the years.
Eisenberg, Rothweiler, Winkler, Eisenberg & Jeck, P.C. is a Philadelphia catastrophic personal injury law firm. We are dedicated to helping our community by ensuring that people from all walks of life have access to our legal system.
