Nancy Winkler Moderates Panel Discussion About Litigation in Times of Uncertainty
Eisenberg, Rothweiler, Winkler, Eisenberg & Jeck shareholder Nancy Winkler moderated a Zoom panel discussion on June 1 titled, “Reaching Across the Bar: Litigation Opportunities in Times of Uncertainty.”
The discussion was sponsored by the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association and the Philadelphia Association of Defense Counsel. The panelists included other attorneys, a former Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas judge, and a jury consultant.
“With so many courts across the country having been closed or limiting their operations because of the COVID-19 pandemic, some people are concerned that they will face delays in getting justice for the wrongs committed against them by other people, government agencies, and large corporations,” said Nancy. “Because justice delayed is justice denied, this panel discussion focused on creative ideas for attorneys to move their clients’ matters forward to enable resolution or some alternative forms of trial at a time when it is difficult to rely on the court system to help make that happen.
Co-founder and senior shareholder of our law firm, Philadelphia medical malpractice attorney Kenneth M. Rothweiler began his career as a legal clerk for the Superior Court of Pennsylvania. Dedicated to complex personal injury litigation, he has tried more than 100 jury trials. These cases resulted in some of the largest verdicts in Pennsylvania.
