Joshua B. Schwartz, Esq., and Daniel J. Sherry, Jr., Esq. have been named to the Pennsylvania Rising Stars’ list of the top up-and-coming attorneys in the state for 2012. Each year, no more than 2.5 percent of the state’s lawyers receive this honor. The selection for this respected list is made by the research team at Super Lawyers.
As an Eisenberg, Rothweiler associate, Joshua B. Schwartz focuses his practice on representing plaintiffs in complex wrongful death and catastrophic personal injury matters including medical malpractice and products liability. He has played a central role during the discovery and pre-trial phases of the many Duragesic/Fentanyl Patch wrongful death cases undertaken by the firm on behalf of plaintiffs and their families. While attending Widener University School of Law, Schwartz served as a law clerk to the Honorable Robert J. Matthews of the Philadelphia County Court of Common Pleas and as Widener University School of Law’s Liaison to the Young Lawyers Division of the Philadelphia Bar Association. He received the 2008 Outstanding Student Service Award and the 2008 President’s Service Award.
Daniel J. Sherry, Jr., concentrates his practice almost exclusively on the representation of plaintiffs in products liability and professional malpractice actions. He currently represents multiple families for injuries and fatalities resulting from defective automobiles, tires, airbags, seatbelts, and child/infant seats. In 2007, he worked with firm partner Stewart J. Eisenberg, Esq., to secure $101 million — one of the largest settlements in New Jersey history — for construction workers injured in the 2003 Tropicana parking garage collapse in Atlantic City. Sherry is a 2005 graduate of Villanova University School of Law, where he chaired the Health Law Society.
