In the past five years, there have been several notable victories in talcum powder lawsuits against Johnson & Johnson. Some of these include:
- $4.69 Billion. In July of 2018, a St. Louis jury awarded 22 women who had developed ovarian cancer from using Johnson & Johnson a $4.69 billion verdict; which included $4.14 billion in punitive damages.
- $417 million. In August of 2017, plaintiff who suffered from Stage 4 ovarian cancer after over five decades of talc use received a jury verdict of $417; this included $340 million in punitive damages.
- $110 million. In May of 2017, a plaintiff received a verdict of $110 million; she used talcum powder for over 40 years and developed acute ovarian cancer, which spread to her liver.
- $70 million. In November of 2016, a jury awarded a $70 million verdict to a plaintiff who developed ovarian cancer after using talc for 40 years; this verdict included $65 million in punitive damages.
