Johnstown Bus Hits Boy Who Sustained Injuries Needing Surgery
A CamTran bus hit a five-year-old boy who was riding a bicycle on Wednesday afternoon. The boy unexpectedly rushed out of an alley in the Moxham section of Johnstown, Cambria County, Pennsylvania into the path of the bus. He sustained multiple injuries, which comprised of fractures to his skull, the vertebrae in his neck, and his shoulder and arm. Additionally, the Johnstown bus accident lacerated his liver, which may require surgery. He was brought to the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC via helicopter for treatment of his injuries.
