38,400 Pontiac G8s Recalled on Airbag Issue

General Motors Co is recalling 38,400 vehicles due to an auto defect with the airbag module. 2008 and 2009 model year Pontiac G8s were named in the recall. The computer module that releases the airbag in an auto accident is not compliant with federal safety standards. The module will be reprogrammed to comply with standards for head injury protection of passengers.
