The family of a woman who was living there has filed a wrongful death suit against ManorCare nursing home.
Suit Filed
William Hill and his sons filed the suit against ManorCare Health Care Services shortly after his wife, Cynthia passed away.
Cynthia, who was 53 at the time of her death, was taken to ManorCare after suffering from a severe hip fracture in 2005.
St.John's Hospital took care of Cynthia before she was transferred to the nursing home to attend therapy and rehabilitation classes.
Nursing Home Negligence
While Cynthia was being cared for at the nursing home, she developed an ulcer on her back, which became enlarged and infected during her stay.
She was then transferred back to St. John's for treatment and only days later, died from the infection.
St. John's Regional Health Center, St. John's Clinic and Cynthia's physician, Dr. Raj Purushothaman are also named in the suit
