Stewart Eisenberg, Esq. and Daniel J. Sherry Jr., Esq. filed a taser death case in Federal court on behalf of the family of Robert Neill, a decorated, Vietnam veteran suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PSD). The complaint alleges that officers contributed to Mr. Neill's death by their use of excessive force. Taser International is also named in the civil lawsuit. Mr. Neill of Mt. Joy, Pa., called police to report that someone had stolen his bike, became disoriented when the police arrived at his door and was subsequently tasered in the chest and multiple times in the back. In addition he was drive-stunned, hog tied and pepper sprayed despite being unarmed and fleeing the police on foot. The case was filed in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of PA.
